Concert photography is all about capturing iconic images that showcase the atmosphere, audience experience, and performers’ emotions.
Taking clear images inside of dark theatres with dynamic performance lighting is both an art and a science, and one of the most technically challenging tasks in photography and video. Excellent performance photography requires special techniques and the very best professional calibre equipment capable of handling the extremes of dynamic range and light contrast in theatre venues. Advanced editing techniques and skilful colour correction of raw digital negatives is included in my services, ensuring your full resolution jpeg images are ready-to-use upon delivery to you.
Having a wide assortment of professional lenses also ensures the final photo set you receive for each show includes a variety of images of the performers and audience from multiple angles, and will include wide contextual images and stunning close-ups. The goal is always to deliver a final photo set with range and depth.
My photographs have been printed in publications such as The Globe & Mail and within artist CD’s and scorebooks, featured on giant billboards and jumbotrons, used on large signage and vinyl wraps, and of course, used all over the internet on websites, news sites, blogs, and social accounts.
